Ready to go!

Look out!! Julian is getting ready to crawl!! Our little guy is becoming more and more mobile each day. It started a few weeks ago when he started rolling over. He's now getting up on all fours and trying to push him self forward. Most of the time he goes backward, but he's beginning to get the idea of moving forward. Check out the videos of him trying to crawl. He's almost there!

Copa de Baja 2010

Julian's second trip to Baja was for Rick's baseball team, Los Monos, to play their annual Copa de Baja game against the team from Ejido Erindera. As usual the Monos lost (it was very close though), but it's always a fun weekend.

This is after.

Julian and Frederick look like they are up to no good, and just got caught.

Pinto Bean's mom & dad showed up to Casa Azul (Chacho & Becca's house) and stayed the entire time. I think they knew that Pinto belonged to them.

World Cup

Julian watched his first World Cup. He was hoping that the Netherlands would win, as you can see by his Oranje outfit.

Earthquake!

Rick had a few extra days off this week, so he stayed home with Julian. While I was at work Rick would send me photos. Here are a few of them.
There was an earthquake, and while there was no damage, it did give us a scare. It's the second decent size earthquake in the last couple weeks. It seems like they get bigger each time. This is a photo of Rick and Julian standing under the door jam.

Be The River. Owens River, Bishop, CA. July 2010

Every year Rick and I, along with 50-100 of our closest friends, make the journey to Bishop, CA to do a 4th of July float down the Owens River. This year was our first year as parents, so Rick floated with the main group on Saturday while I stayed with Julian. I floated on Sunday with all of the other moms. There were about 18 of us this year. Each year the mom float seems to grow.

While it was a bit warm, it was cooler than it has been in years past. This was especially good for the little ones. Julian didn't seem to mind the heat, and actually enjoyed lounging around without a diaper on. Here are some photos from our weekend at The River.
